Now that our site is launched, we are so happy to reveal the Leader of The Scoop Wethersfield...Kim Miller. Kim was born and raised in Wethersfield. She has an extensive media background with stints at multiple networks where she learned how to get some of the biggest 'SCOOPS' in the nation. Most recently, she ran her own photography business in Wethersfield. As a mom of three, Kim is deeply involved in the local community and understands the residents. She is excited to work one-on-one with businesses to tell their stories. She is also really good at getting The Scoop! Welcome Kim!
NATIONAL STEAKHOUSE CHAIN TO THE SILAS DEANE
Longhorn Steakhouse is coming to the Silas Deane Highway in Rocky Hill. It will be located in the former Dakota Restaurant. They have several other locations in Connecticut. The popular steakhouse restaurant offers a range of steaks, burgers, and entrees.
ICYMI: HUNGRY POT TO WETHERSFIELD PLAZA
We are excited to announce that new businesses are coming to Wethersfield Plaza. Hungry Pot will be opening in March. There is also interest from multiple retailers for some of the empty spaces so stay tuned for details on what might be coming!
NEWINGTON DEVELOPMENT TO INCLUDE NATIONAL GROCER
There is a fantastic new development coming to Newington (just over the Wethersfield line) that includes a mix of residential and retail. The 24-acre site will offer 269 luxury townhouses and more than 35,000 square feet of lifestyle retail and dining. We hear Shake Shack, Sally's aPizza, and Crumbl Cookie are among the potential new tenants. There are rumors buzzing that the grocer is Whole Foods, but we don't have confirmation on that just yet. We can dream though!!! The first retail is expected to open late this summer (WOO-HOO)!

*Skechers is expected to open mid-March! The owner of the shopping plaza said the retail giant was experiencing some supply issues which have been causing delays.
*ICYMI: DORO Marketplace is coming to Wethersfield! They have DEELISH sandwiches and baked goods. They will be located in the former Chips Restaurant which they are currently renovating. We are working on finding out their timeline for opening.
*Renovations seem to be moving along at Sallys aPizza in The Borden near Marshalls. We have been on this for some time and hope to have a specific opening date soon!
