The popular organic grocery store, The Fresh Market, is taking over the former Bed Bath space and we could not be more excited. If you haven't been, you're in for a treat! Since we have all been wanting a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's for years, we think this will be an excellent addition to town! STAY TUNED for an opening date.
AUTHENTIC ITALIAN OPENS ON SILAS DEANE
Sora My Way recently opened at 446 Silas Deane Highway near the Gordon Bonetti Florist shop. The owner is from Sora, Italy where his family operates a restaurant. He learned everything about Italian cooking from them and is excited to offer this to Wethersfield peeps. They offer authentic Italian meals and pizza. Everything is made fresh from scratch each day. We hear the pizza is out of this world and their dishes look next level good. Stop in and tell them we sent you!
OLD WETHERSFIELD WELCOMES NEW SHOPS
Kuddos to Old Wethersfield for bringing in the kind of small boutiques everyone wants to see along Main Street, USA! Recently, Raised on Ridge and Cottonwood + Church opened in the One Hope Main red colonial and THEY. ARE. AWESOME. Both shops are named after the streets where the owners have lived (LOVEEE!). Raised on Ridge offers on-trend kids clothing. Cottonwood + Church is a unique blend of old and new home decor (but you can't tell what's old so BONUS). Birdies at the Barn will be a children's toy store in the back of this same property. Their tagline: "your neighborhood joy store" makes us happy and we cannot wait to visit when they open. Plan a day of shopping and cocktails on Main Street in 2024.
NEW OWNER TAKING OVER NUTMEG HOME SPACE
Victoria Oliveira is excited to launch her own home and beauty boutique in the Nutmeg Home space. Nutmeg recently announced they are moving their business online. Victoria will open Jackie Home & Beauty and offer one-of-a-kind home and beauty items. We are pumped for her to OPEN in April of 2024. Her online shop will be up and running in January.

*Kettle Bagels will go into the old Chic Boutique Consignment space at 2162 Silas Dean in Rocky Hill. This is the same owners as the two locations in Southington and we hear great things!
*Jordan's Furniture is opening THIS FRIDAY at Westfarms. It's a sight to be seen with an 80 by 30 foot interactive LED screen. The entrance to the store will be Sally's Apizza. They will be offering a FULL menu that will include burgers and entrees. We hear Sally's target for opening there is April, but we shall see!
*Unfortunately, still no word on Sally's in The Borden in Wethersfield. We had stopped by back in September and there was a team from the restaurant there who told us they were hoping to open within the next two months, but still nothing. We are trying to stay on top of this and hope to have an answer soon!
*There is an electric car charging station going in the Aldi parking lot at 1863 Silas Deane Highway. Not sure when these will be in full operation, but they have gone through the town's permit process so stay tuned!
